Radiant Heating Systems

The Ideal Partner for Heat Pumps

Underfloor heating operates at low flow temperatures of 35–45°C, perfectly matching the optimal output range of heat pumps. This synergy delivers superior comfort with significantly lower running costs than traditional radiator systems.

We design and install wet and electric underfloor heating for new builds, extensions, and full retrofits, always engineered for maximum heat pump compatibility.

Lower flow temperatures mean your heat pump operates in its most efficient range, delivering more heat per unit of electricity.

Why Underfloor Heating with a Heat Pump?

Heat pumps achieve their highest efficiency when heating water to low temperatures. Underfloor heating is specifically designed to work at these lower temperatures, creating a perfect partnership that maximises comfort while minimising energy consumption.

    • 20–30% more efficient than radiators with a heat pump
    • Even heat distribution across the entire floor area
    • No visible heating equipment, freeing wall space
    • Individual room temperature control as standard
    • Compatible with most floor finishes

    Underfloor Heating Installation Process

From floor survey to final commissioning, every system is designed for your specific property and heat source.

    01

    Survey

Floor construction assessment, heat loss calculations, and pipe layout design for each zone.

    02

    Design

CAD layout specifying pipe centres, manifold positions, zone thermostats, and flow rates.

    03

    Install

Insulation, pipe laying, manifold connection, and screed or overlay application.

    04

    Commission

Pressure testing, flow balancing, screed drying protocol, and heat pump integration.

    Wet Systems

Warm water circulated through PE-RT pipes beneath the floor. The most efficient option for new builds and major renovations, delivering even heat distribution at low flow temperatures.

    Electric Systems

Thin heating mats or cables installed beneath tile or stone. Ideal for single-room additions, en-suites, or areas where wet systems are impractical.

    Retrofit Solutions

Low-profile overlay systems adding as little as 15mm to floor height. Aluminium spreader plates provide rapid heat transfer without full screed replacement.

Common questions about underfloor heating systems.

    Expert Insight

"Every heat pump installation we design starts with the emitter system. Underfloor heating is always our first recommendation because it operates at the temperatures where heat pumps are most efficient. The result is lower electricity consumption and better comfort."
