    Seamless architectural integration
Zero visual impact on landscape design

    The Challenge

The villa's premium location on the French Riviera demanded an invisible heating solution that wouldn't compromise the property's stunning Mediterranean aesthetic. Traditional ground source heat pump installations with visible outdoor units or extensive borehole drilling were not acceptable. The system also needed to handle diverse thermal loads including whole-home climate control, pool heating, and domestic hot water. All without any visible infrastructure.

    The Solution

We installed our Teratherm surface energy system beneath the villa's driveway and patio areas, completely invisible once completed. The system extracts and stores thermal energy from the sun-warmed surfaces, delivering it to a high-efficiency heat pump. By utilising existing hardscape areas, we eliminated the need for boreholes or visible equipment whilst achieving superior thermal performance. The integration with pool heating was seamless, using the same collector network to maintain optimal swimming temperatures year-round.

    The Results

The installation now provides 100% of the villa's heating, cooling, pool heating, and hot water requirements with zero visual impact on the property. Energy bills have been reduced and the owner reports exceptional comfort levels throughout the year, with consistent temperatures maintained effortlessly. Most importantly, the villa's value has been enhanced by this cutting-edge, invisible renewable energy installation.
